§ 9002. Definitions
The following words and phrases when used in this act shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
“Clinical privileges.” The authority to provide patient care which may include, but is not limited to, psychological assessments, psychotherapy, consultation and other privileges consistent with section 4.1
“Hospital.” As defined under section 802.1 of the act of July 19, 1979 (P.L. 130, No. 48),2 known as the Health Care Facilities Act.
“Physician.” An individual licensed under the act of October 5, 1978 (P.L. 1109, No. 261),3 known as the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act, or the act of December 20, 1985 (P.L. 457, No. 112),4 known as the Medical Practice Act of 1985.
“Psychologist.” A person who is licensed in accordance with the provisions of the act of March 23, 1972 (P.L. 136, No. 52),5 known as the Professional Psychologists Practice Act.
