§ 32. Judge to appoint visitors; duties of visitors
It shall be the duty of the judges of the several courts of common pleas within this Commonwealth to appoint visitors to visit the children committed in accordance with the provisions of this act, by any magistrate, justice of the peace1 or judge in their respective counties, the said visits to be made at intervals not longer than once every six months, and the said visitors shall report upon the character of the home in which said child shall be placed, and the expense of said visitation shall be fixed by the court, and borne by the counties aforesaid.
