§ 23137. To regulate the weighing and measuring of commodities
To regulate the weighing and measuring of every commodity sold in the city, in all cases not otherwise provided by law; to provide for and regulate the inspection and weighing of hay, grain and coal, and the measuring of wood and fuel, to be used in the city, and to designate the place or places of the same; and to regulate and prescribe the place or places for exposing for sale hay, coal and wood, and to demand and receive reasonable fees for inspection, weighing and measuring, as aforesaid, and for the regulation and stamping of weights and measures.
