§ 23161. To regulate traffic
In addition to the powers heretofore granted to cities of the second class, as provided for in the act entitled “An act for the government of cities of the second class,” approved the seventh day of March, Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and one,1 and the supplements thereto, every city of the second class, in its corporate capacity, is authorized and empowered to enact ordinances regulating, in the interests of public safety, health, and convenience, the movement of pedestrian, animal, and vehicular traffic, of every kind, in streets, parks, bridges, squares, and public places in such cities.
