§ 284. Rewards
The Department of Forestry1 is authorized to offer and to pay rewards for evidence leading to the arrest and conviction of any person who maliciously sets fire to any woodlot, forest, or wild land. When such evidence is obtained by any local forest fire warden during time for which said warden shall not have been otherwise paid, the Department of Forestry is authorized to pay, from its appropriation, the amount of said reward to said fire warden.
