§ 14797. Main trap for house drain
The house drain must be provided with a horizontal trap, placed immediately inside the cellar wall. The trap must be provided with a hand-hole for convenience in cleaning, the cover of which must be properly fitted and made gas and air-tight, with heavy brass screw-cap ferrule, caulked in. This class of traps shall be subject to the approval of the Board or Bureau of Health.1
