§ 45. Certified copies of books, papers, and documents
The Insurance Commissioner shall furnish, under seal of the department, when required for evidence in court, certificates relative to the authority of a company, association, exchange, agent, or broker to transact business in this Commonwealth upon any particular date, and such certificate shall be competent evidence thereof. He shall, at the request of any person and on payment of the fee, give certified copies of any charter, statement, or record in his office, whenever he deems it not prejudicial to the public interest.
Copies of all books, papers, accounts, annual statements, charters, and other papers or documents filed in the office of the Insurance Department, when certified under the hand and seal of the Insurance Commissioner, shall be admitted in evidence in all courts and elsewhere in this Commonwealth.
