§ 281-21. Pawnbroker's lien on pledge
The pawnbroker shall have first lien on all pledges for the amount of his loan, interest, and charges in all cases, except where the pledging or possession thereof by the pledger constituted larceny at common law, or except where a prior lien exists by virtue of any other statute.
Except as otherwise provided in this act, a pawnbroker shall not be required by legal process, or otherwise, to deliver a pledge without surrender of the pawn ticket unless the pawn ticket has been impounded or its negotiation enjoined by a court of competent jurisdiction.
