§ 1201. Declaration of policy
The practice of psychology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hereby declared to affect the public safety and welfare, and to be subject to regulation and control in the public interest to protect the public from unprofessional, improper, unauthorized and unqualified practice of psychology, and from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice psychology. This act should be liberally construed to carry out these objects and purposes.
