§ 863. Regulation of elections
The general election laws now in force for the choice of a governor of this commonwealth, shall regulate the elections of auditor general and surveyor general;1 and in case any vacancy should occur in either of said offices, by death, resignation or otherwise, the same shall be filled by appointment of the governor; and the person so appointed shall continue in office until the end of the term for which his predecessor was elected.
