§ 284. Instruments acknowledged by grantors before themselves validated
The title to any real estate situate in this Commonwealth which has heretofore been conveyed to any person, partnership, or corporation authorized to hold such real estate by any magistrate, justice of the peace or alderman, who also made acknowledgment of such a conveyance before himself and is now deceased, is hereby declared to be good and valid, and any such person, partnership or corporation grantee as aforesaid and his or her or its respective heirs, successors and assigns shall hold and may convey such title and estate, and all such conveyances heretofore made are hereby ratified and confirmed.
