§ 143. Time from which interest shall be computed
In all cases where patents may hereafter be issued from the land office1 for lands lying north and west of the rivers Ohio and Allegheny and Conewango creek, the person or persons receiving the same shall only be required to pay interest on the principal sum due, from the expiration of five years after the date of the first improvement made on the land therein described.
