§ 2543. Insurance against loss
The Department of Public Assistance shall have the power to purchase through the Department of Property and Supplies1 such insurance as may be deemed necessary to protect it against loss in the handling of Federal Surplus Commodities Stamps or the proceeds from the sale thereof. The costs of such insurance shall be paid out of appropriations to the Department of Public Assistance for assistance, local administration, et cetera.
