§ 1040.5. Insurer referral of violations to law enforcement officials
(a) Every workers' compensation insurer and its employes, agents and brokers are authorized to refer to the appropriate law enforcement official violations of Article XI if the insurer, employe, agent or broker has reason to believe that a person has engaged in or is engaging in an act or practice that violates Article XI.1
(b) The insurer, its employes, agents and brokers, shall furnish all papers, documents, reports, complaints or other facts or evidence to any police, sheriff or other law enforcement agency or governmental entity duly authorized to receive such information, when so requested, and shall assist and cooperate with those agencies.
