§ 8. Pending actions and proceedings
(a) Jurisdiction of court continued.--Except as otherwise provided in this section, no appeal or other matter pending in any court on the effective date of this act shall be affected by the provisions of this act changing the jurisdiction of courts, and all such matters shall proceed to a final determination in such court, which court shall have continuing jurisdiction over such matter, including jurisdiction on remand following any appellate review of any order entered in such matter, whether such appellate review was had before or after the effective date of this act.
(b) Transfer of jurisdiction by consent.--A court vested with continuing jurisdiction over a pending matter under subsection (a) may at any time, with the consent of the transferee court, transfer jurisdiction of such matter to the court which would have been vested with jurisdiction of such matter if the action or proceeding had been commenced in or the appeal had been taken to such transferee court after the effective date of this act. Such transfers shall be effective with due regard for the interests of justice and the convenience of the parties. In every such case the clerk of the transferor court shall transfer to the custody of the clerk of the transferee court all dockets, records, pleadings and other papers, or certified copies thereof, relating to the matter so transferred.
