40 P.S. § 323.2-A
§ 323.2-A. Definitions
The following words and phrases when used in this article shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
“Association.” The Pennsylvania Professional Liability Joint Underwriting Association established in section 731 of the Mcare Act.1
“Board.” The Joint Underwriting Association Board described in section 912-A(a).2
“Commissioner.” The Insurance Commissioner of the Commonwealth.
“Department.” The Insurance Department of the Commonwealth.
“Health care provider.” As defined in section 702 of the Mcare Act.3
“Mcare Act.” The act of March 20, 2002 (P.L. 154, No. 13),4 known as the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error (Mcare) Act.
“Plan.” A plan of operation submitted to and approved by the commissioner under section 731(b)(1) of the Mcare Act or this article.
