CARBON SEQUESTRATION GRANT PROGRAM
An Act relating to carbon sequestration; directing office of the Secretary of Energy and Environment to create and administer grant program for certain entities; requiring grant program be subject to Legislative authorization; providing for codification; and providing an effective date.
SUBJECT: Carbon sequestration grant program
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3–6–101 of Title 27A, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The office of the Secretary of Energy and Environment shall create and administer a grant program for entities utilizing sequestration of carbon captured from production of hydrogen from natural gas. The Secretary shall determine criteria for the program and establish a process for consideration of proposals. The grant program shall only be subject to the authorization of federal dollars by the Legislature.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
