WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are dedicated to producing a safe, wholesome and healthful protein product to the nourishment and enjoyment of Oklahomans; and

WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef cattle farmers and ranchers are committed to the highest quality standards and the most careful practices in excellent care and livelihood of their animals; and

WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are tied directly to the land and uphold the importance of protecting Oklahoma's abundant natural resources for future generations by serving as dedicated stewards and caretakers; and

WHEREAS, Oklahoma beef farmers and ranchers are responsive and forward–thinking, utilizing and adopting science-based and common sense management plans, time-tested traditional practices and the latest technologies.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:

THAT the month of May 2024 is hereby recognized by the Oklahoma House of Representatives as Oklahoma Beef Month.

THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives hereby proclaims Wednesday, May 8, 2024, as Oklahoma Beef Day at the Capitol.
