BROADBAND
An Act relating to broadband; making appropriations to the Oklahoma Broadband Governing Board; describing and limiting the use of said funds; identifying source and amounts of appropriated funds; and referencing actions of the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding.
SUBJECT: Broadband
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. From the Statewide Recovery Fund created pursuant to Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) shall be appropriated to the Broadband Governing Board created pursuant to Enrolled House Bill No. 3363 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature. Such funds shall be used for Broadband Mapping needs as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on December 6, 2021. Such funds shall be used to complete the Broadband Map needed to create the Statewide Broadband Plan.
SECTION 2. From the Statewide Recovery Fund created pursuant to Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of Three Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Sixty-eight Dollars ($365,068.00) shall be appropriated to the Broadband Governing Board created pursuant to Enrolled House Bill No. 3363 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature. Such funds shall be used for the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology's Advanced Fiber Technician Training Program as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on March 31, 2022.
In accordance with Article VI, Section 11, of the Oklahoma Constitution, House Bill 1123 has become law without the Governor’s signature. It was filed with the Oklahoma Secretary of State on May 27, 2022.
