SUBJECT: Memorial highways and bridges
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.364 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 56 beginning at the intersection of Dripping Springs Road extending easterly to the intersection of Madison Avenue on the west side of the city of Okmulgee in Okmulgee County shall be designated as the “Senator Roger Ballenger Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.365 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 281 beginning at the intersection of N2400 Road extending approximately five (5) miles east then north to the intersection of E270 Road south of Alva in Woods County shall be designated as the “Judge Dean Linder Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.366 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 64 beginning at the northern municipal limits of Cherokee extending north to the intersection of State Highway 11 in Alfalfa County shall be designated as the “Loyd Stout Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 4. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.367 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge crossing over the Turner Turnpike located on State Highway 18 at the north edge of Chandler in Lincoln County shall be designated as the “SGT Ronald Crews Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 5. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.368 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The sections of U.S. Highways 60 Business and 60 extending between the Tonkawa and Ponca City National Guard armories in Kay County shall be designated as the “MAJ Kerry “WarDog 6” Trent and SSG Michael D. Ward Memorial Trail”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highways.
SECTION 6. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.369 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge crossing over Coal Creek on U.S. Highway 59 north of Panama in LeFlore County shall be designated as the “SGT Billy Rodgers Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 7. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.370 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 71 beginning at the intersection of State Highway 9 in Haskell County extending north six (6) miles to the intersection of S4306 Road in McIntosh County shall be designated as the “Harold Haltom Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 8. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.371 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge on U.S. Highway 177 crossing over the Salt Fork Arkansas River south of Ponca City at the Kay County–Noble County line shall be designated as the “Jerry Evans Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 9. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.372 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 18 beginning at the intersection of State Highway 33 in Cushing extending north two (2) miles in Payne County shall be designated as the “WWII Veteran Roy J. “Junior” Herring Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 10. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.373 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The intersection of U.S. Highway 177 and State Highway 105 in Lincoln County shall be designated as the “Womack Four Corners”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highways.
SECTION 11. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.374 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 5 beginning at the intersection of State Highway 54 extending east to the intersection of State Highway 36 in Tillman County shall be designated as the “Edgar L. Hamm Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 12. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.375 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 49 beginning at the Interstate 44 interchange extending west to the intersection of State Highway 58 near Medicine Park in Comanche County shall be designated as the “Edward A. Hilliary, Jr. “Junior” Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 13. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.376 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 76 beginning at the intersection of Getty Road extending north and east along State Highway 7 to the intersection of Delta Road in Carter County shall be designated as the “Okla. Horse Racing Hall of Fame Inductee Carl and Rozella Pevehouse Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 14. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.377 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The State Highway 15 bridge that crosses over Interstate 35 in Noble County shall be designated as the “Bellmon Brothers Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 15. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.378 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over Medicine Creek on State Highway 49, approximately two (2) miles west of State Highway 58, near Medicine Park in Comanche County shall be designated as the “Army 2nd LT. Tobias Alexander Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 16. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.379 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge located on U.S. Highway 81, approximately one (1) mile south of the State Highway 19 West intersection, in Grady County shall be designated as the “SGT Mycal Prince Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 17. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.380 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over Walnut Creek on State Highway 24, east of the town of Washington in McClain County, shall be designated as the “SSGT Jerry Michael Chitwood Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 18. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.381 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 266 beginning at the intersection of Porter Road extending northeasterly to the intersection of County Road N4030 in Okmulgee County shall be designated as the “SP–4 Wilbert Gresham Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 19. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.382 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 51 beginning at the intersection of Country Club Road and extending west to the intersection of Karsten Creek Road in Payne County shall be designated as the “Boone Pickens Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 20. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.383 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of Interstate 44 beginning one-half (0.5) mile north of State Highway 36 interchange extending south to U.S. Highway 70 interchange in Cotton County shall be designated as the “William Mark Miller Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 21. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.384 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge at the interchange of U.S. Highway 81 and State Highway 7 running southwest to northeast in Stephens County shall be designated as the “SSG Rodney Aaron Hagan Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 22. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.385 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The portion of U.S. Highway 75 beginning at the intersection of E 106th Street N and ending at the intersection of E 116th Street N in Tulsa County shall be designated as the “OHP Captain Larry Jackson Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 23. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.386 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 70 near the southeast edge of Durant beginning at McLean Road and extending northeasterly two and one-half (2.5) miles in Bryan County shall be designated as the “Hunter Ford, Fernando Flores, Jack Sarver, and Kaleb Foster Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 24. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.387 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge crossing over U.S. Highway 69 on U.S. Highway 70 on the south side of Durant in Bryan County shall be designated as the “Senator Billy A. Mickle Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 25. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.388 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over Wolf Creek on U.S. Highway 283 north of Shattuck in Ellis County shall be designated as the “Undersheriff Monty Martin Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 26. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.389 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of Interstate 35 beginning at the U.S. Highway 77 interchange extending north to the State Highway 33 interchange near Guthrie in Logan County shall be designated as the “Clarence and Ethel Branch Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 27. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.390 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge on U.S. Highway 412 crossing over State Highway 88 near Inola in Rogers County shall be designated as the “PFC Travis J. Grigg 101st Airborne Division Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 28. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.391 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over the Canadian River on Interstate 40 in Canadian County shall be designated as the “Cecil Davis Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 29. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.392 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 81 beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 near Waurika extending south five and one-half (5.5) miles in Jefferson County shall be designated as the “Gerald Holmes Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 30. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.393 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of State Highway 3 beginning at the intersection of Morgan Road extending northwesterly to the intersection of Sara Road in Canadian County shall be designated as the “Lt. Shirley Lanning Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 31. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.394 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 177 beginning at the intersection of East 1660 Road, north of Sulphur, extending north to the Murray–Garvin County line shall be designated as the “Senator Bruce L. Frazier WWII Veteran Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 32. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.395 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The section of U.S. Highway 277 beginning at the intersection of Keeney Road near Elgin extending northeasterly to the H.E. Bailey Turnpike overpass in Comanche County shall be designated as the “Captain Mark A. Barker Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 33. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.396 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad on U.S. Highway 62 on the northeast edge of Muskogee in Muskogee County shall be designated as the “SGT Ryan Hogan Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.
SECTION 34. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.397 of Title 69, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The bridge over the Spring/Neosho River on U.S. Highway 60 near Wyandotte in Ottawa County shall be designated as the “Mitchell Earls and Billy Stratton Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

SECTION 35. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1692, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1692. The portion of State Highway 49 between Interstate 44 and beginning at the intersection of State Highway 58 extending west to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge shall be designated as the “Medicine Park Trail”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers to be placed upon the portion of highway bearing that designation.

SECTION 36. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.300, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.300. The section of U.S. Highway 277 beginning on the west side of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike and extending west to the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 in Comanche County bridge crossing over the Arkansas River on Interstate 244 in Tulsa County shall be designated as the “Gold Star Families Memorial Highway Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway bridge.

SECTION 37. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.310, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.310. The bridge over the Cimarron River on Highway 15 approximately thirteen (13) miles north of Boise City located on U.S. Highway 287, five (5) miles south of the Oklahoma–Colorado state line in Cimarron County shall be designated as the “Private Robert “Bob” Clark Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

SECTION 38. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.322, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.322. The bridge located on Interstate 44 over State Highway 49 within Comanche County shall be designated as the “MSGT MSG Michael Werdehoff Vietnam MIA Memorial Bridge”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

SECTION 39. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.334, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.334. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the section of State Highway 28A in Rogers County beginning at the intersection of State Highway 66 near the Town of Foyil, extending east to the intersection of State Highway 28, then continuing east to the Interstate 44 in Rogers County interchange in Mayes County shall be designated as the “CSM Junior H. Honeycutt Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.

SECTION 40. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.351, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.351. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the section of U.S. Highway 77 beginning at the intersection of Broadway Avenue in Ardmore extending north to the intersection of State Highway 142 in Carter County shall be designated as the “Mayor Martin Dyer Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to the be placed on the highway.

SECTION 41. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.354, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1698.354. The section of U.S. Highway 62 beginning at the intersection of N3990 Road extending east through the town of Morris to the intersection of N 4030 Road in Okmulgee County shall be designated as the “USS Arizona Survivor Lonnie D. Cook Memorial Highway”. The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the highway.
SECTION 42. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
