OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
An Act relating to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce; making an appropriation; stating purpose; requiring that portions of certain funds be utilized for certain grants; authorizing certain expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
SUBJECT: Oklahoma Department of Commerce
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the Statewide Recovery Fund created pursuant to Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of Twenty-five Million Dollars ($25,000,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary for a grant program that supports nonprofit organizations, programs, and activities which benefit the citizens of Oklahoma. Such funds shall be used as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on June 7, 2022.
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
In accordance with Article VI, Section 11, of the Oklahoma Constitution, Senate Bill 6XX has become law without the Governor’s signature. It was filed with the Oklahoma Secretary of State on June 22, 2022.
