WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma recognizes the invaluable contributions and sacrifices made by military spouses in support of our Nation's armed forces; and

WHEREAS, military spouses demonstrate unwavering strength, resilience, and dedication while facing unique challenges associated with frequent relocations, deployments, and separations from their loved ones; and

WHEREAS, military spouses serve as the backbone of support for our service members, families, and communities, embodying the spirit of patriotism and selflessness; and

WHEREAS, on this Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor and express our deepest gratitude to the military spouses of Oklahoma for their steadfast commitment, sacrifices, and unwavering support to our Nation's defenders.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN:

THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature recognizes May 10 as Military Spouse Appreciation Day in Oklahoma.

THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature recognizes and honors the extraordinary contributions and sacrifices of our military spouses and to express our heartfelt appreciation for their service to the State of Oklahoma and the Nation.
