HEALTH CARE WORKFORCE TRAINING COMMISSION AND THE STATE BOARD OF CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
An Act relating to the Health Care Workforce Training Commission and the State Board of Career and Technology Education; making appropriations; stating purposes; authorizing certain expenditures; requiring rules and procedures to be established; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency.
SUBJECT: Health Care Workforce Training Commission and the State Board of Career and Technology Education
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Health Care Workforce Development Revolving Fund, created in Enrolled House Bill No. 2776 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the Statewide Recovery Fund of the State Treasury created in Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of One Million Six Hundred Forty Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Dollars ($1,640,630.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to establish a grant program with Indian Capital Technology Center for the purpose of recruiting, educating, and stabilizing Oklahoma's health care workforce. Such funding shall be used as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on June 7, 2022.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated to the Health Care Workforce Development Revolving Fund, created in Enrolled House Bill No. 2776 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the Statewide Recovery Fund of the State Treasury created in Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of Two Million Thirty-two Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($2,032,767.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to establish a grant program with Metro Technology Centers for the purpose of recruiting, educating, and stabilizing Oklahoma's health care workforce. Such funding shall be used as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on June 7, 2022.
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated to the Health Care Workforce Development Revolving Fund, created in Enrolled House Bill No. 2776 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the Statewide Recovery Fund of the State Treasury created in Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of One Million Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($1,625,858.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to establish a grant program with Tri County Tech for the purpose of recruiting, educating, and stabilizing Oklahoma's health care workforce. Such funding shall be used as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on June 7, 2022.
SECTION 4. There is hereby appropriated to the Health Care Workforce Development Revolving Fund, created in Enrolled House Bill No. 2776 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the Statewide Recovery Fund of the State Treasury created in Enrolled House Bill No. 3349 of the 2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature, the sum of Three Million Five Hundred Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-eight Dollars ($3,504,368.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to establish a grant program with the State Board of Career and Technology Education for the purpose of recruiting, educating, and stabilizing Oklahoma's health care workforce. Such funding shall be used as recommended and approved by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding on June 7, 2022.
SECTION 5. The Health Care Workforce Training Commission shall promulgate rules and establish procedures for evaluating and awarding grant applications for the grant programs provided for in this act.
SECTION 6. The State Board of Career and Technology Education shall promulgate rules and establish procedures for evaluating and awarding grant applications for the grant programs provided for in this act.
SECTION 7. This act shall become effective September 1, 2022.
SECTION 8. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
In accordance with Article VI, Section 11, of the Oklahoma Constitution, Senate Bill 9XX has become law without the Governor’s signature. It was filed with the Oklahoma Secretary of State on June 22, 2022.
