§ 5. Penalty for violating two preceding sections
Any officer of the state, or of any county, city, township, or other municipality, or any person acting under or for such officer, or any contractor with the state, or any county, city, township, or other municipality thereof, or other persons violating any of the provisions of the two preceding sections,1 shall for each offense be fined in any sum not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00), nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or punished by imprisonment of not less than three (3) months nor more than six (6) months. Each day such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
