§ 14. Form of ballot--Election of officers
The Governor shall cause to be placed upon the ballots, to be voted at any such election, the metes and bounds of the proposed new county, or the territory sought to be transferred, and if said election is for the purpose of creating a new county, the ballot shall contain the words “Shall said territory be formed into a new county?” followed by
“Yes”
“No”
If such election is for the formation of a new county, there shall also, and at the same time be held an election for the purpose of electing a full quota of county officers, for said proposed county, and there shall be separate ballots prepared for said purpose, containing the names of the various candidates to be voted for at said election, which said ballots, when voted, shall be placed in a separate box. If the change sought to be made is the transfer of territory from one county to an existing county, said ballots shall contain the words, “Shall said territory become a part of ____________ county?” (filling in the name of the county, to which said territory is sought to be transferred), followed by the words
“Yes”
“No”
