§ 2.1. Violations--Penalties
No person shall willfully or knowingly break, break off, crack, carve upon, write, or otherwise mark upon, or in any manner damage, destroy, mutilate, deface, mar, take or harm any historic or prehistoric site, building, object, artifact, fossil or material in, around or upon any historic site owned, operated, managed or under the control of or under an easement granted to the Oklahoma Historical Society. Any person convicted of violating any of the provisions of the Oklahoma Historical Preservation Act1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by confinement in the county jail for not to exceed one (1) year or by both such fine and confinement.
