§ 642. Procedure for transfer
Upon showing by the plaintiff or defendant in all civil and criminal cases; or some interested person in probate matters, being filed by the clerk of the court, that the venue of said cause is in some other county as provided by the preceding section,1 the court shall order the transfer of such case or probate matter to such other county; and, upon such order being made, the clerk of the court shall prepare a transcript of all the papers filed, orders entered and a bill of the costs accrued, and shall forthwith transmit the said files and transcript of said cause by registered mail, to the court or clerk of the court of the proper county.
