2013 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) Grant
The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) Office of Interoperable and Emergency Communications (OIEC) is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) to solicit applications from New York State County Governments for awards to facilitate consolidation, development, and improved operations of public safety answering points.
Subject to State appropriation authority, a total of $9 million in funding is available for awards to New York State county governments for the purposes noted above, as outlined in the RFA. Funding for this grant program is supported by the Statewide Public Safety Communications Account.
Eligibility: County governments, requesting funding for the benefit of the county as a single entity. Additional eligibility criteria are listed in the Request for Applications Instructions (2013-14 PSAP Consolidation RFA Instructions and 2013-14 PSAP Sustainment RFA Instructions).
Applications will be accepted through April 24, 2014 5:00 pm. Applications are available on-line at http://www.dhses.ny.gov/oiec/grants/ or may be obtained by emailing OIEC at DHSESOIEC@dhses.ny.gov.
