2014 Hudson River Estuary Grants Under the NYS Environmental Protection Fund
Application will be accepted through June 20, 2014 for grant funding under the Hudson River Estuary Grant program. Anticipated grant funds from the NYS Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) and the Natural Resources Damages Fund (NRD) for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2013-2014 is approximately $621,500 and is available under three separate applications: approximately $150,000 for the Action Agenda Partnership Grants application, $350,000 for the Estuary Access Grants application and $121,500 for the Hudson Tributary Restorations Grant application. These are competitive grant programs and projects must implement the goals and targets of the 2010-2014 Hudson River Estuary Action identified in each application. The Hudson River Estuary Action Agenda can be viewed at www.dec.ny.gov/lands/5104.html. Projects eligible for state assistance must be located within the geographic boundaries of the Hudson River. State assistance may fund up to 50 percent of the total project cost. The matching share to be provided by the recipient is 50 percent.
Applications must be completed online and are available on the New York State Grants Gateway at: http://www.grantsreform.ny.gov. All applicants must register in the Gateway to be eligible to apply for any NYS grant opportunity. Not-for-profit applicants must also be “prequalified” in the Grants Gateway system prior to the application deadline to be considered eligible for a grant.
