Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law. Pursuant to Section 30-a of the Public Lands Law, the Office of General Services hereby gives notice to the following:
Notice is hereby given that the Office of Children and Family Services has determined that the Westchester Community Residential Center, situated at 535 South 9th Avenue, City of Mount Vernon, Westchester County, improved with a two story residential building consisting of 2,556± square feet, circa 1972, located on approximately 0.12 acres, is no longer useful or necessary for their purposes and has declared the same abandoned to the Office of General Services for sale or other disposition as Unappropriated State land.

Nassau County Deferred Compensation Plan Board
Pursuant to Part 9003.2 of Title 9 of the New York State Codes, Rules and Regulations, the Nassau County Deferred Compensation Plan Board hereby gives notice of the following:
Beginning June 29, 2009, the Nassau County Deferred Compensation Plan Board (the “Plan” and the “Board” respectively) will be requesting proposals from firms authorized to do business in New York State to provide Deferred Compensation Services, including serving as the Plan’s administrative service agency, custodial trustee and financial organization. Starting June 29, 2009, details of the proposal may be found in the Request for Proposals posted at the Nassau County website at www.nassaucountyny.gov and also may be obtained by contacting the individuals named below. Pre-proposal questions must be submitted to the individuals named below by July 13, 2009. Proposals must be received by July 29, 2009

Department of State F-2009-0213 Date of Issuance - June 24, 2009
The New York State Department of State (DOS) is required by Federal regulations to provide timely public notice for the activities described below, which are subject to the consistency provisions of the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended.
The applicant has certified that the proposed activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner consistent with the approved New York State Coastal Management Program. The applicant's consistency certification and accompanying public information and data are available for inspection at the New York State Department of State offices located at One Commerce Plaza, 99 Washington Avenue in Albany, New York.
In F-2009-0213, Hudson Transmission Partners LLC is seeking approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, for the installation of a 345 KV submarine AC electric transmission line across the Lower Hudson River from Edgewater, NJ to the Consolidated Edison 49th Street sub-station in Manhattan, NY. The proposed cable will have a 660 megawatt capacity and is proposed to landfall in Manhattan between piers 92 and 94. Within New York State, the proposed cable will be entirely underground or underneath the bed of the Hudson River.
The major components of the project include:
Installation of a two temporary 100' x 30' open-ended rectangular cofferdams terminating approximately five feet above the river bottom and between 20'-30' below mean lower low water. One coffer dam with be within New Jersey waters and one will be within New York waters approximately 400' from shore.
Dredging of approximately 1,260 cubic yards of class “c” material from each coffer dam with an environmental dredge bucket and upland disposal of the dredged material.
Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) installation of the proposed cable between the coffer dam sites and the proposed upland landfall sites.
Cable laying by barge along a 3.6 mile underwater route within the Hudson River.
Installation of the cable via jet-plow to a depth of 15 feet below current grade within the boundaries of existing federal navigation channels and 10 feet below current grade outside of the federal navigation channel.
Removal of the cofferdams and restoring the dredged area with clean sand.
The stated purpose of the proposal is “To meet the needs of the New York Power Authority for the New York City customers by providing transmission capacity to new sources of power at prices that are economical, stable and predicable over the long term.”
Any interested parties and/or agencies desiring to express their views concerning the above proposed activities may do so by filing their comments, in writing, no later than 4:30 p.m., 30 days from the date of publication of this notice, or, July 24, 2009.
