NOT-FOR-PROFIT AND FOR-PROFIT CHILD DAY CARE CENTERS, SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS AND OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES (SEE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION FOR ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS)
Child Day Care Center and School Age Start Up and Expansion Programs; Expansion of Hours of Existing Child Day Care Centers and School Age Child Care Programs; Health and Safety grants, Innovative Programs Initiative and Accreditation grants to reimburse programs for successfully completing nationally recognized accreditation processes.
This serves as notification that the request for proposals originally issued in December 2003 has been extended to include three additional grant submission opportunities (November 17, 2006, March 16, 2007 and July 20, 2007). Applications for Health and Safety grants $15,000 and under may be submitted by the 10th of each month ending with submissions on June 10, 2007.
Applications for all program types, except Health and Safety grants $15,000 and under, will be accepted on 06/25/04, 09/24/04, 01/14/05, 04/15/05, 07/15/05, 10/14/05, 01/20/06, 04/14/06, 07/14/06. Applications may be submitted for Health and Safety grants $15,000 and under may be submitted by the 10th of each month, beginning on July 10, 2004.
The Office of Children and Family Services is making available a series of grant opportunities to expand the availability of and/or improve the quality of care in regulated child care settings. The specific funding categories included in the RFP are: Child Day Care Center and School Age Start Up and Expansion Programs; Expansion of Hours of Existing Child Day Care Centers and School Age Child Care Programs; Health and Safety grants, Innovative Programs Initiative and Accreditation grants to reimburse programs for successfully completing nationally recognized accreditation processes.
Requirements: All categories except for the Innovative Programs Initiative are open to the not-for-profit AND for-profit child day care center, school age child care programs, other not-for-profit organizations and government agencies. The Innovative Programs Initiative category is limited to government and not-for-profit organizations. Subcontracting Provisions: In accordance with Standard NYS Appendix A.
