Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. Department of State F-2006-1098 DA Date of Issuance — February 7, 2007
The New York State Department of State (DOS) is required by Federal regulations to provide timely public notice for the activities described below, which are subject to the consistency provisions of the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended.
The applicant has certified that the proposed activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner consistent with the approved New York State Coastal Management Program. The applicant's consistency certification and accompanying public information and data are available for inspection at the New York State Department of State offices located at 41 State Street in Albany, New York.
In F-2006-1098, the United State Coast Guard (USCG) is proposing to expand the boundary of an existing Special Anchorage Area in the Hudson River, off of the Village of Nyack, in Rockland County New York. The purpose of the proposed expansion is to provide for the safety of anchored vessels, ensure the safety of navigation on the adjacent waterway, and provide for the safe and efficient flow of waterborne commerce.
The proposed expanded Special Anchorage Area will be located on the west side of the Hudson River, approximately 1,600 yards north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Presently, the existing Special Anchorage Area is approximately 735 yards by approximately 2,250 yards. The expansion would increase the size of the Special Anchorage Area by 200 yards on the eastern side to approximately 935 yards, and by 1,220 yards on the southern side of the anchorage area to approximately 2,250 yards. The expanded special anchorage area would be limited to vessels no greater than 20 meters in length. Such vessels are not required under the Inland Navigation Rules to sound signals nor exhibit anchor lights or shapes when at anchor in a special anchorage area.
Any interested parties and/or agencies desiring to express their views concerning the above proposed activities may do so by filing their comments, in writing, no later than 4:30 p.m., 15 days from the date of publication of this notice, or, February 22, 2007.

Involved is the construction of an addition to an existing building containing an B/H business/hazardous occupancies, of Type 1A construction, 6 stories in height, having a cumulative gross floor area of 115,000 square feet. The building is located at 1 Research Place, Town of Niskayuna, Schenectady County, State of New York.
2007-0080 Matter of Barbara York and Michael Woodside, 18 Cherry Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054 for a variance concerning the required ceiling height in a residence.
Involved is the alteration of a building containing a single family dwelling occupancy, 2 stories in height of Type VB wood frame construction having a cumulative gross floor area of 1,550 square feet. The building is located at 18 Cherry Avenue, Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, State of New York.
2007-0104 Matter of Lin Hough for Penn Yan Flying Club, Inc., 572-573 East Lake Road, Penn Yan, New York, 14527 for a variance concerning fire safety requirements including relief from requirements to provide required sprinkler protection.
