1240.6 Conflicts; disqualifications from representation.
(a) No:
(1) current member of a committee;
(2) partner, associate or member of a law firm associated with a current member of a committee;
(3) current member of a committee’s professional staff; or
(4) immediate family member of a current committee member or committee staff member, may represent a respondent or complainant in a matter investigated or prosecuted before that committee.
(b) No referee appointed to hear and report on the issues raised in a proceeding under this Part may, in the department in which he or she was appointed, represent a respondent or complainant until the expiration of two years from the date of the submission of that referee’s final report.
(c) No former member of the committee, or former member of the committee’s professional staff, may represent a respondent or complainant in a matter investigated or prosecuted by that committee until the expiration of two years from that person’s last date of committee service.
(d) No former member of the committee, or former member of the committee’s professional staff, may represent a respondent or complainant in any matter in which the committee member or staff member participated personally while in the committee’s service.
