(a) Examinations will be given in subjects authorized and in a manner prescribed by the commissioner at times and places designated by him.

(b) The fee for each examination will be $25 for each examination carrying one to five semester hours of credit; $30 for each examination carrying 6 to 11 semester hours of credit; $35 for each examination carrying 12 or more semester hours of credit. Examination fees must be paid at the time an application to take an examination is made.
