6I.101 Incident Management Signs (NYW8-42, NYW8-47)
Option:
01 The ACCIDENT AHEAD (NYW8-42) and EMERGENCY SCENE AHEAD (NYW8-47) signs (see Sign Drawing SD-W29) may be used to warn of rescue and recovery operations associated with traffic accidents and other incidents.
Guidance:
02 Where used, the ACCIDENT AHEAD or EMERGENCY SCENE AHEAD sign should be placed a suitable distance in advance of the accident or incident sitem or at a remote location where traffic can detour or turn around.
