380-2.7 Bonding leave for those born or placed prior to January 1, 2018.
In the case of leave taken for the purpose of bonding with a child pursuant to section 201 of the Workers’ Compensation Law, on or after January 1, 2018, employees may seek family leave benefits during the first 12 months after the child’s birth, or during the first 12 months after the placement of the child for adoption or foster care with the employee, even in the event the child was born or placed prior to January 1, 2018.
