(a) It is the intent of the Commission of Investigation (the commission) to fully comply, to the extent appropriate and as required by law as a public safety agency, with the provisions of article 6-A of the Public Officers Law (the Personal Privacy Protection Law).

(b) These regulations provide information concerning the procedures by which rights granted by the Personal Privacy Protection Law, as are applicable to the commission, may be asserted.
