700.9 Fees.
(a) Unless otherwise allowed by statute, no fee will be charged for:
(1) inspecting records;
(2) searching for records; or
(3) any certification pursuant to this Part.
(b) Unless otherwise allowed by statute, copies of records shall be provided:
(1) at a minimum rate of 25 cents per photocopy up to 8½ × 14 inches; or
(2) upon payment of the actual cost of reproduction, if the record cannot readily be photocopied on machinery owned or leased by the commission or if outside contractors are required to copy the record involved.
(c) The commission, at its discretion, may, in instances it deems appropriate, waive the payment of any fee or provide records at lower fees. The requester will be notified if such a waiver or reduction in fees has been granted. However, when records are provided for less than the fee allowed by law, a waiver or reduction shall be deemed to have been granted.
