43.4 Required lighting of vehicles less than 80 inches in width.
Vehicles less than 80 inches in width shall be equipped in accordance with table III.

* A tractor need not be equipped with any rear side marker devices, rear clearance lamps or rear identification lamps.
**Intermediate side marker devices are not required on vehicles less than 30 feet in overall length.
*** 1965 and earlier model vehicles may substitute two class A or class B amber reflectors for front highway hazard warning lamps.
**** Trailers less than 30 inches wide need only one tall lamp, stop lamp, reflex reflector and number plate lamp. No other lamps or reflectors are required.
