484.4 Exemption from fees for medical waste transporters.
(a) Transporters of medical waste that meet the following requirements are exempt from paying waste transporter fees:
(1) operate as a not-for-profit corporation as defined in Not- for-Profit Corporation Law, section 102 or a governmental organization;
(2) generate less than 100 pounds per month of regulated medical waste; and
(3) transport only their own waste in accordance with all provisions of the ECL.
