273.1 General classification.
(a) The air quality within the political boundaries of Erie County shall be maintained as set forth in Part 256, Ambient Air Quality Standards—Classifications System, using Levels IV, III, II and I as detailed below.
(b) The classification of the air over Lake Erie and the Niagara River and their islands shall be the same as the classification of the adjacent land mass.
