(a) The manufacturer, supplier, and installer shall maintain quality programs to verify that the installed parts conform to design requirements.

A qualified engineer shall design, or be in responsible charge of the design of, new and modified passenger tramways.

For all tramways, other than rope tows and wire rope tows, a qualified engineer shall certify to the owner that the construction and installation has been completed in accordance with the final design plans and specifications.
