154.1 Liberation and taking of domestic waterfowl.
Domestic waterfowl liberated under a license issued pursuant to section 11-1903 of the Fish and Wildlife Law shall be taken only under authorization from the department, upon written application, as follows:
(a) The department may authorize the licensee to take mallard ducks between September 1 and March 31 when it shall appear to its satisfaction that the shooting is to be done only on birds liberated in controlled drives and in such a manner as to preclude the taking of any wild waterfowl. No more than the number so liberated shall be taken.
(b) The department may authorize the licensee to kill other domestic waterfowl, by shooting, only in accordance with all the applicable hunting regulations governing the taking of like species from the wild.
