(a) The use, display or discharge of any firearms or other weapons within the parkway system, except as authorized by the department or by law, is prohibited.

(b) Except in the performance of official duties, the discharge of a firearm, air gun, spring gun or other instrument or weapon in such a manner that a projectile enters or is likely to enter any part of the parkway system, is prohibited.
