Dear Mr. Taylor:
*1 Attorney General A. F. Summer has received your opinion request of June 5, 1979 and has assigned it to me for reply. In your letter you state:
*1 ‘In connection with serving a variety of clients, nation-wide, we require data concerning the employment of armed plainclothes private security personnel acting to protect both individuals and private property.
*1 Accordingly, we wish to learn if the statutes of Mississippi permit the carrying of a concealed weapon by private-sector security personnel and under what conditions, licensing requirements, and other relevant restrictions.'
*1 In response to your above request, please find enclosed a copy of Section 97–37–7 of the Mississippi Code, Annotated, 1972, as amended, which deals with the subject of your inquiry. If we may be of further service feel free to communicate with us; until them I am
Sincerely yours,
*1 A. F. Summer
