RULE 8-124. APPEALS FROM PROCEEDINGS FOR EXPUNGEMENT--CONFIDENTIALITY
(a) Scope. This Rule applies to an appeal from an order relating to a petition for expungement.
(b) Caption. The proceeding shall be styled “In re Expungement Petition of [first name and first initial of last name of expungement petitioner]”.
(c) Confidentiality. The last name of the expungement petitioner shall not be used in any opinion, oral argument, brief, record extract, petition, or other document pertaining to the appeal that is generally available to the public.
(d) Inclusion of Docket Numbers. If the appellate court grants the expungement, the mandate issued by the court shall contain the docket number of the lower court case.
