§ 22-418. School vehicles required to be painted yellow
School vehicles required to be painted national school bus yellow
(a) School vehicles shall be painted yellow, in accordance with Administration regulations, using the color known as national school bus yellow, as specified in federal standards.
Other vehicles prohibited from being painted national school bus yellow
(b) Unless otherwise permitted or authorized by the Maryland Vehicle Law1 or by Administration regulation, no other vehicle designed for carrying passengers may be painted national school bus yellow or a closely approximate color.
Regulations
(c) The Administrator may issue regulations for a phase-in of compliance with this section.
