RULE 6-132. APPEARANCE OF ATTORNEYS
(a) Entry of Appearance. An appearance of an attorney may be entered by signing and filing a petition for probate or other paper, by filing a written request for the entry of an appearance, or, if the court permits, by orally requesting the entry of an appearance in open court.
(b) Effect. The entry of an appearance is not a waiver of the right to assert any defense permitted by law. Special appearances are abolished.
(c) Withdrawal of Appearance. When the client has another attorney of record, an attorney may withdraw an appearance by filing a notice of withdrawal. When the client has no other attorney of record, an attorney may withdraw an appearance by filing a motion to withdraw pursuant to Rule 2-132.
