RULE 10-304.1. APPOINTMENT OF GUARDIAN--CRITERIA; ORDER
(a) Whether to Appoint Guardian. In determining whether to appoint a guardian of the property of a minor or disabled person, the court shall apply the criteria set forth in Code, Estates and Trusts Article, § 13-201.
(b) Whom to Appoint. In determining whom to appoint as a guardian, the court shall apply the criteria set forth in Code, Estates and Trusts Article, § 13-207 and, with respect to an individual, give preference to an individual who has completed or commits to complete within 60 days or such other time as the court directs a training program in conformance with the Guidelines for Court-Appointed Guardians of the Property attached as an Appendix to the Rules in this Title.
(c) Order. An order appointing a guardian of the property shall comply with the requirements of Rule 10-108.
