RULE 5-802. HEARSAY RULE
Except as otherwise provided by these rules or permitted by applicable constitutional provisions or statutes, hearsay is not admissible.
Cross reference: For an example of a statute permitting the admission of hearsay, see Code, Criminal Procedure Article, ยง 11-304 concerning the admissibility of an out-of-court statement by a child victim or witness under certain circumstances.
